Our story
“I got tired of feeling tired.
I got stuck in a cycle of restricting, then supplementing, then feeling more stressed than when I started. Sadly I noticed the same in the women around me. I wasn’t showing up for my body in the best way possible. Not at work, not in the gym, not in my personal life. Burnout became a by-product of simply trying to keep up.
And I was fed up of an industry that treated women as a problem to be solved rather than listened to. Everything sold to us was about how we look. Everything else was tracking, scoring, optimising, one more number to check before you’re allowed to feel fine. Oh, and most female brands being founded by men didn’t help.
DIZZY came out of that.
I don’t want to be optimised.
I want to live my life.I didn’t want another thing to remember. I wanted one thing I’d actually keep doing.
So I left my job, put my house deposit into it, and built it with sixty women who were fed up of the same thing.”
